Why This Training Matters

This training does more than meet certification requirements, it helps facilities build stronger, survey-ready dementia education programs.

Many organizations choose to have team members complete this training and pursue CDP® certification to strengthen internal training capabilities and support compliance with state dementia education requirements.

In Colorado, facilities are required to provide dementia-specific education, including initial and ongoing training. Surveyors will often review:

  • “Who is providing the training”
  • “Whether required topics are covered”
  • “How education is documented and maintained”

Having trained staff who understand dementia care at a deeper level can support more consistent, compliant, and effective education across the team.

Ideal for facilities looking to strengthen dementia care training, improve staff confidence, and maintain survey readiness.
